Susan Carol DeJong, 70, passed away on September 25, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA from complications due to multiple sclerosis. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa with Pastor Mike Stevens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time with family present during this time. She was raised and educated in Kingsley, IA and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School. She married Terry DeJong on September 17, 1963. Susan's favorite hobbies were bowling, gambling and watching sports. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed March Madness. She was a fantastic cook. She was able to travel the world with her husband on many great adventures. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family. She loved to go shopping with her friends and sisters. She was an attentive and loving mother who always provided for her children and husband. Susan, leaves a son, and daughter in-law Josh and Julie of Dodge City, KS, a son, Greg of Palm Springs, CA and a son and daughter in-law, Jeff and Amy of Brandon, SD, three grandsons, Trey, Brady and Payton of Brandon, SD. Two Sisters, Carla Chilton and her husband Michael of Sioux City, IA and Karen Bainbridge of Kingsley and many nieces and nephews. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Terry and brother-in-law David Bainbridge.
