Kingsley, Iowa: SCOTT MICHAEL HESS, age 63, of Sarasota, Florida, was found in his home on February 16, 2016 after dying of a heart attack. He was cremated. Scott was born October 1, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Dean and Betty (Munson) Hess. He graduated from Kingsley-Pierson Public Schools in 1971. He attended what is now Minnesota State University in Mankato and moved to Florida in 1972. He graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1976. He was a pharmaceutical representative for many years. Scott was a people person who enjoyed giving. Known by his friends as "Scotty", he excelled at barbequing. He loved going to the auto races in Sebring with friends for over twenty years. Scott would drive around town in his convertible with one of his macaws sitting on the headrest. He loved being with his family and friends and was a kind, loving person who will be missed by all.He is survived by his mother, Betty, his brothers Craig of Dallas, TX, and Mark and his brother-in-law, Gary Wentzel of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and his sister, Ann of Spirit Lake, IA, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Scott was preceded in death by his father, Dean
