Randle Varoye Braddy of Kingsley, IA died Monday, Mar. 2, 2015 at home. A prayer service will be Thurs., Mar.6, at 5 pm, at Morningside Presbyterian Church in Sioux City with Pastor Dave Koehler officiating. Randle was born Aug. 16, 1915 in Denton, Jeff Davis Co., GA to Tom Watson & Charley Ann (Phillips) Braddy. Randle graduated from Waycona School in Waycross, GA in 1933. He married Eugenia Smith in 1940 in GA and had 2 daughters- Walton Eugenia and Suzan Anne. Randle enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Core, volunteered during the war in 1945 as a Merchant Marine. He returned to GA, divorced and moved to Louisiana. He married Trudy Lammers in Mobile, AL 1961. They lived in LA, NE and retired in Kingsley, IA in 2002. Randle retired in 1977 from IBP. He was a fisherman, hunter, farmer and a talker. He always liked a good story to tell and play cards.Randle was a loving father, grandpa & great grandpa. He is survived by daughters, Sue & John Harrell of Lynn Haven, FL and Mary Ann & Frank Banys, Kingsley, IA. A son-in law- Audie & Merlene Counts-Waycross, GA. Grand & great grand children -Tom & Dawn Braddy & Piper, Sioux City, IA, Mark & Kim Counts & Ian of Jacksonville, FL, Amy Deering & Anna & Michael of Birmingham, AL, Katy Harrell of Panama City, FL and Ben & Gina Harrell & Peyton, Grant & Grace Harrell of Panama City, FL. Special family Tammy Gruis-Homer, NE, Ellen Smith & Rhiannon & Olivia -Aurora, CO, Shayley & Dennis Parks & Izzak Brook & Riley-Lakeville, MN, and Joann Heck of Herrick, SD & Tayla.Randle was preceded in death by his parents, siblings- Joseph Thurmond Braddy, Claude Eddie Braddy, Lorraine Grace Smith and Marine Kennedy, a daughter, Walton E. Counts and grandson, Steve Counts.
