Phyllis Jeanne was born February 21, 1929, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Charles W. and Lola M. (Empie) Corkhill. She graduated from Central High School (Castle On The Hill) in Sioux City in 1947. On March 4, 1950 she married Jack Clark. After their marriage they moved to Kingsley where they raised their family. Phyllis was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, UMW, youth leader at the church and PEO. Her husband, Jack, passed away July 25, 2012. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Clark of Olathe, Kansas, and Becky Clark and partner, Monique, of Boulder, Colorado, one son, Jeff Clark and partner, Deb, of Kingsley, Iowa, one granddaughter, Amy Blatchford and partner, ,Matt, of Sioux City, Iowa, and a great-grandson, Collin Blatchford of Sioux City, Iowa. Also, surviving Phyllis are her two sisters-in-law, Greta Corkhill of St. Louis, Missouri and Jan Mills of Surprise, Arizona.Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, William "Bill" Clark, parents, and her husband, Jack, four brothers, Charley, Stan, Leonard, Harold, two sisters, Miriam and Helen.
