Mr Forrest D Lambson

Forrest D. Lambson, 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City, Iowa. A visitation will held Wednesday, Septemeber 21, 2016 , 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with the family present during this time at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa. A private family burial will be held at a later date .Forrest Dean Lambson was born February 9, 1945, the son of Dean and Loyal (Nurton) Lambson in Bellevue, Nebraska where he grew up. After graduation from high school he served in the U.S. Army from June 14, 1963 until May 12, 1966. During this time, he served a tour of duty in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the Army he lived in different locations until moving to Sioux City, Iowa where he worked at IBP doing general maintenance until retiring. He married Deborah Hamman October 13, 1984 in Sioux City where they made their home. Forrest is survived by his wife, Deborah, Sioux City, IA, a daughter, Michelle James, Carlisle, IA, six grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis and Aricka Lambson, Katie (Michael) West and Brock James. He is also survived by one brother, Dave (Judy "Cricket") Lambson, Omaha, NE, four sisters-in-law, Patti (Steve) Polkinghorn, Moville, IA, Suzanne (Mike) VandeHoef, LeMars, IA, Kathy Lang, Sioux City, IA and Diane Fulton and her fiance, Mike Payne, Dallas, TX, one brother-in-law, Mike (Jenny) Hamman, Kingsley, IA and several nieces and nephews.Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Forry and Troy, parents-in-law, William and Marilyn Hamman, and a sister, Deanna.
