Joan Lucille McCain

Kingsley, Iowa; Joan L. McCain, 84, of Kingsley, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Char-Mac Assisted Living in Lawton, Iowa. Joan Lucille Hauser was born May 21, 1932, the daughter of Arnold and Mary Alice (Murray) Hauser in LeMars, Iowa. She was raised in the Kingsley area graduating from Union High School in 1950. On July 17,1952, she married Wilbert "Bert" McCain in Oceanside, California where Bert was stationed while serving in in the Marine Corp. After his tour of duty Joan and Bert made their home in Kingsley, Iowa. Joan worked at Kingsley State Bank for 57 years until her retirement. Joan was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Kingsley. Her husband, Bert, passed away in November of 2013.Joan is survived by her daughter, Vicky Hinz of Kingsley, a grandson, Christopher Aeder of Kingsley, one sister, Dorie (Curt) Ott of Kingsley, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Roy Hinz and her husband, Bert.
