Iva J Hackett

Iva Jean (Bobolz) Hackett, 75, of Kingsley passed away suddenly Saturday January 14, 2012. Services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 4 p.m., and a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at the church. Iva was born January 1, 1937 in Cherokee to Arthur and Elsie (Fagerlund) Bobolz. She was a 1955 graduate of Quimby, Iowa High School.In June of 1956 she wedded Darrell D. Hackett, their union was blessed with 7 children. Survivors include her husband Darrell, sons; Joseph Hackett and Patrice Haglund, Patrick and Brenda (Stubbe), Charles and Kristine (Towns), John Hackett and Cindy Jones, Andrew and Kimberly (Vander Feen), and a daughter Suzanne Williams. Also included are her many grand and great-grand children.Iva enjoyed genealogy, flower gardening, crocheting and cross stitch. Iva was preceded in death by her infant sister, parents, and her daughter Jill Lizabeth Hackett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kingsley State Bank for a family donation to a children's hospital.Rohde Funeral Home of Kingsley, Iowa is assisting the family.
