Dawn D. (Fluent) Rosburg, 57, of Kingsley, IA died Monday, July 13, 2015 at her residence after a long struggle with diabetes.Dawn was born November 16, 1957 at Rockford, IL, the daughter of Glen and Lenore "Hap" (Sullivan) Fluent. The family moved back to the family farm in Newcastle, NE when she was a child. Dawn was confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, NE in 1971. After graduating from Newcastle High School in 1975, she moved to Sioux City to begin her career at Bomgaars. She married Gary Rosburg September, 17, 1979. She was employed by Midwest Electric, Inc. for 15 years. Dawn was a business owner of "The Sewing Room" from 1994 to 2002 with locations first in Morningside and then in Leeds. She was a Certified Viking Dealership with repair credentials. Dawn also taught sewing classes, writing her own instructional manuals. Dawn has lived in Kingsley, IA for the past six years.Sewing was her lifelong passion. She sewed for family and friends and charity. Dawn was mechanically minded and could service sewing machines. Dawn was a pet lover and always had a dog in her life from Whopper to Foster.She is survived by siblings, Darrell and his wife Pam, of Hendersonville, TN, Jane Rebensdorf and her children, Keegan Dorcey (Wayne, NE) and Brock Rebensdorf of Sioux City, IA, Grant and his wife Nicole and their children, Deysa and Demi of Sergeant Bluff, IA, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her former husband, Gary Rosburg, of Hull, IA. She is survived by her special friend Lonnie Richardson of Kingsley, IA and his sons Christopher and Shawn of Sioux City, IA.She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorial donations may be made in Dawn's name to the American Diabetes Association.
