Correctionville, Iowa: Carole Jean Libke, 64 of rural Correctionville, Iowa died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Sioux City, from a brief battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa, with Msgr. Mark Duchaine officiating. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery, Kingsley, IA. Masks, and social distancing is recommended at these services. Carole was born in Sioux City, IA on May 29, 1956 to Richard L. and Margaret Ann (Forch) Roark. She graduated from Anthon-Oto High School in 1974. Carole and Mike Libke were married April 1993 in Anthon, IA.
She worked as a CNA for 30 years at the Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center. She previously worked for her parents at the family restaurant/ bar in Anthon, and a seasonal worker at the Gothier Mink Ranch in Anthon.
Carole hobbies included, family coed softball, and volleyball, bowling on different leagues, cross stitching, crocheting, supporting her kids and grandkids in many different sporting events. She enjoyed her trips to Estherville for sisters “get away weekends.”
Carole is survived by her daughters, Chrissy Ellis, Kim Larson, and Becky (Jason) Bergenske, all of Sioux City, sons Chris (Melissa) Libke of Plattsmouth, NE, Michael Jr. (Melony) Libke of Anthon, and Austin (Jessica) Libke of Moville, and 19 grandchildren, Mercedes, Chloe, Dallas, Autumn, Madison, Izabelle, Olivia, Isabel, Addison, Drake, Alyssa, Matthew, Payton, Logan, Gage, Ashton, Cheyenne, Gabe and Thea and 7 great grandchildren. Sisters, Linda Kellogg, Barb (Bart) Byriel, Connie (Scott) Yockey and Susie (Dale) Bradley. Sister in-law Dianne (Don) Conyers, brothers-in-law, Rick Libke, and Dennis Libke. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Mike Libke.
