Annette Elizabeth Swanberg, 66, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Hilliard, Ohio. Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she is now in the warm and loving arms of our Lord. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa with visitation one prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warm Up America Foundation, 3740 North Josey Lane, Suite 102, Carrollton, Texas 75007.Annette was born January 17, 1948 to John "Jack" and Mildred Swanberg in Kingsley, Iowa, the first of three children. She graduated from Iowa State University and worked in Michigan before moving to Los Angeles, where she earned an MBA from Pepperdine University and operated her own book publicity business.She was a voracious reader, published author, adventurous foodie, accomplished quilter and knitter, active Ohio Master Gardener, dedicated member of her church where she donated countless handmade items to warm the homeless in her community, and a loving friend to all.She is survived by her husband, Charles Allen and daughter, Claire of Hilliard, Ohio, father, Jack Swanberg of Kingsley, sister, Janelle (Don) Swanberg of Davenport, Iowa, brother, J.C. (Gail) Swanberg of LeMars, Iowa, nephews, Wesley (Whitney) and Ethan (Megan) all of LeMars, and Samuel of Loveland, Colorado, grandniece, Waverly Swanberg, aunt, Darleen Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska, cousin, Dianne (Gerry) Krieser of Lincoln, Nebraska, cousin, Suzanne Ballou of Kansas City, Missouri, many nieces and nephews. Also, surviving are many in-laws in California, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, her stepmother, Dorothy Swanberg, and recently, her mother-in-law, Salty Allen.
